The CAL and ANTH/USP 128A: Climate Justice/Action/Resilience Scholars presented a day of learning, community, and action centered around climate mitigation, adaptation, resilience, and justice. The Inaugural UCSD Climate Research Conference occurred inside the CAL with 15 presenters across 7 disciplines and a keynote talk from Professor Fonna Forman. Outside the CAL, there was the Fourth Annual Climate Justice & Resilience Fest, with interactive stations, tabling from on-campus organizations, and activities.
The CAL hosted an alumni panel and tabling fairs highlighting different avenues of social science work in climate action. We had an introductory speech from Carol Padden, the Dean of Social Sciences, six UCSD alumni panelists from various sectors, and a tabling from 10 on- and off-campus organizations.
